I know outages from the phone, not from the textbook.
For more than 15 years I have worked in IT at large media and consulting firms, mostly where an outage lands first: in support, with boards, during live broadcasts and in the middle of migrations.
Today I look after three sites in the IT operations of a large media group and sit on its business continuity committee. My focus there: isolating identities in a crisis so operations keep running.
That is where my approach comes from: a plan is only good if someone can use it under pressure. So I would rather run an exercise than write a thick manual.

Introduced Confluence as the central knowledge platform, migrated it to the cloud and backed it up with a tool of my own.

Staff and leadership responsibility at EY as IT lead of the Berlin wavespace. Currently in the leadership programme of a large media group.
